Catasrophe

We recently had a minor catastrophe at our house when a huge oak tree fell on our garage, smashing in the roof and busting through the ceiling. Grateful as we all were that no one was physically hurt, damage was yet to be done to our emotions and wallet. You can image all the service people we had to call out: framers, roofers, plumbers, and even the DIRECTV Service. This was where our emotional pain came in. Can you imagine coordinating all of these people while still holding down your day job? Then, our wallet’s post traumatic shock set in. We thought we paid homeowners insurance for these types of things, but they always need something more. Needless to say we learned a lot from the experience and were still indebted to those who helped us get our home back together, but here’s a little warning to everyone out there: you never know when something will happen, so have some money and patience in reserve for whatever catastrophe you find yourself in.
